Maison des Enfants

Notre Maison des Enfants est entièrement dédiée au bien-être et à l'accompagnement de vos enfants entre 2.5 ans et jusqu'à 4 ans.

Montessori education is not only a pedagogy and a method but also an intelligent educational response, meaning that it is suited to the natural laws of growth and of biological, psychological and mental development of the child.

The essential needs of a child from 2 1/2 to 4 years of age are :

  • to be loved
  • to love
  • to be respected in his nature, his pace, his stages, his goals, his gestures
  • to feel secure
  • to be independent
  • to participate in free and creative activities
  • to live with other people

How does Petites Étoiles meet these needs ?

The child life centre offers the child a broad range of possibilities :

  • perfecting the unity of his being
  • learning to respect himself and others
  • enrichment of his real language
  • experimentation and refinement of his five senses to allow his intelligence to become active and creative
  • experimentation with his hands and the coordination of their movements, the hands being at the source of the construction of intelligence
  • various intellectual acquisitions : writing, reading, mathematics, geography, sciences, botany, zoology
  • learning about true freedom that procures bodily ease and the possibility to express himself precisely

All of this work is based on the following elements :

  • practical life material
  • sensorial material
  • language and reading material
  • a cultural atmosphere including muic, painting and the arts
  • an atmosphere of real and deep communication with the educators and the other children

The quality of the environment is fundamental for helping children to understand differences and develop their knowledge. Thus, it integrates the notions of respect and acceptance of others as they are.
